Who Are We?
Our Lady of the Rosary
Academy is a private Roman Catholic school serving children from kindergarten through the
senior year of high school. The school began in 1978 to educate students in a faithful and
authentic Catholic environment. We provide our children with a traditional Catholic
education using a classical curricula. More importantly, we provide our students with an
opportunity to receive Christ in the Eucharist daily during Mass and to cultivate a
devotion to our Blessed Virgin through regular recitation of the Rosary.

Why We Were Founded
1. To disseminate the Faith.
2. To reinforce the belief that God is the source and summit of our lives.
3. To reestablish the Christian faith as the reference point of moral formation.
4. To understand life from the Catholic perspective.
5. To help our students integrate the Catholic Faith into the whole pattern of their
lives.
6. To establish an appropriately Catholic environment of education.
7. To provide authentic Christian role models.
8. To form students who put forth good effort, show perserverence, and are capable
of self-sacrifice.
Our Founding Principles
Our school was founded on the
following principles of religious education, as articulated by the Catholic Church:
1. All understanding of truth comes
only through the prism of the Word made flesh.
2. Values find their meaning only through Christ.
3. Man's vital relationship with Jesus Christ should be the bedrock of Catholic
education.
4. Children in their material and spiritual needs are at the heart of the mission of
the Catholic school.
5. The Catholic school should be an instrument of evangelization for our students.
6. The Catholic school should be instrumental in helping the child "receive the
gift of salvation."
7. The Catholic school should focus on the complete formation of the child.
8. The Catholic school should impart a solid Christian formation.
9. The Catholic school should endeavor to integrate the Christian faith into the
whole pattern of the child's life.
Statement of Faith
Our Lady of the Rosary Academy
believes in one holy, Catholic, and apostolic Church, founded by Our Lord Jesus Christ, as
articulated and handed down by the Apostles and Holy Scriptures, through the
Magisterium and sacred Tradition over the last two millennia to this day.
We strongly adhere to the rich and
essential traditions of the Roman Catholic Church.
We remain in full, practicing
communion with the Holy Father in Rome, who is the Vicar of Christ for our Holy Mother
Church. We fully support our Archbishop as the Shepherd of Christ for the
Denver Archdiocese and successor of the Apostles.
More About Us
The Academy is a member of the
National Association of Private Catholic Independent Schools (NAPCIS), educating K-12
students in the teachings of Jesus Christ. See our Accreditation page for more
information about NAPCIS accreditation.
Our school is completely independent,
receiving no Federal, state, or local government funding. Because of this
independence, we can teach a traditional, challenging curriculum without interference;
something that is uncommon in most schools today, including private ones. The
Internal Revenue Service has classified us as a 501(c)(3) entity.
We celebrate the Mass and recite the
Rosary.
The attention we pay to the basics in
traditional education pays dividends -- our graduates are qualified to attend the college
or university of their choice and at least 90% of our graduates continue to actively
practice their religious faith throughout their adult life. Religious vocations are
common. Alumni include three priests, two seminarians, one cloistered nun, and three
Regnum Christi members, all testifying to their religious education and development.
Refer to the Alumni page for more details. Over the
years, we have enjoyed a diverse student body, composed of boys and girls from all walks
of life, from a variety of social, ethnic, and religious backgrounds.
Of note is the well-received Early Learning Program sponsored by the Academy.
Preschool children receive a valuable head start in age-appropriate learning and classroom
skills within a daycare environment.
Our Lady of the Rosary Academy is also a
sponsoring institution for approximately 100 home school families statewide. See the
Home School page for more information about our umbrella
program.
In addition, several adult groups currently
use the school for language courses (Gaelic and Italian have been popular courses).
Two adult groups use the school for prayer meetings. Students and faculty typically
participate in the annual Columbus Day Parade held in Denver, as well as the annual Right
to Life Rally at the state Capitol.
Tuition and fees at the Academy are
definitely more than competitive with other private schools in the area. Generous
discounts are available for additional family members attending our school, as our way of
supporting larger families. See Tuition & Fees page for
a listing of costs to attend.
