Our Early Learning Program
Our Lady of the Rosary Academy
offers an on-site Early Learning Program for pre-school age children who are potty-trained
and kindergarten age children. Staff members provide a full range of age appropriate
activities that are fun, engaging, and stimulate the young minds of children, in a safe
learning environment.
Our Mission
We provide quality Catholic Early Learning for
children approximately 3 to 5 years old. Children learn in a stimulating Catholic
"work and prayer" environment.
Program Curriculum
The Early Learning Program
curriculum helps prepare preschoolers with a love of learning and seeks to foster a
climate of fairness and discipline where our young children can thrive as future
students. Student-staff ratio averages 10 children to 1 staff member.
Their young Catholic faith will be nurtured by teaching them age
appropriate catholic prayers, devotions and elements of their faith.
Children are also exposed to a
variety of developmental learning objectives through the basic acts of coloring and
drawing, working with shapes, and assorted other arts and crafts projects. They are
familiarized with the letters of the alphabet, the phonetic sounds, numbers and
counting. Children also enjoy age appropriate educational software on a classroom
computer. Our students are read stories to excite their imagination and to impart valuable
lessons.
We use the Kolbe curriculum in our
classrooms which includes science, mathematics, phonics, penmanship, literature and
religion.
Hours of operation
6:00 AM to 6:00 PM daily.
Parents, please note: Every staff member
undergoes a thorough background check prior to assuming his or her duties with the Early
Learning Program. Moreover, staff members keep strict accountability of children and
control access into and out of the facility.
Health Requirements
We require a copy of up-to-date immunization records,
to verify each child is current with their vaccinations, as required by law. Standard
format immunization records or the state of Colorado form will be accepted. Please
understand that the Early Learning Program is not a licensed medical treatment facility,
so that seriously ill children should not be brought to us. Rather, they should stay
in the care of their parents or appropriate medical facility.
